Non-urgent advice: Ordering Repeat Prescriptions

The easiest ways to order your repeat prescriptions are:

  • Using your NHS account through the NHS website or NHS App
  • Returning your repeat prescription slip to the surgery
  • Arrange with a local pharmacy to request and collection your prescription

Please note, for safety reasons we do not accept requests by telephone. If you run out of your repeat medications whilst the surgery is open please contact us. If the surgery is closed, please telephone 111 to arrange a bridging prescription

The NHS provides the Find a Pharmacy Service to help you locate your nearest pharmacy.

Non-urgent advice: Change your nominated pharmacy

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

  • Using your NHS account through the NHS website or NHS App
  • At the surgery
  • With your chosen pharmacy

Your prescription will be available to collect from the surgery after 4pm, 3 working days after the request was made. Please request repeat prescriptions well in advance of public holidays. For prescription requests sent to a local pharmacy then the timescale will be dependent that pharmacy and you will need to contact them directly to discuss timescales.
If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacist can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to common questions.
